The British Kosovar Chambers of Commerce to hold its first exclusive Gala Ball in London
The inaugural London Gala Ball will take place on 14 May 2022 at London Marriott Hotel, Regents Park. The Gala Ball will host over 200 prestigious attendees in one of London’s finest locations. Attendees will include Members of the UK Parliament, Special Trade Envoy for the Western Balkans Martin Vickers MP and distinguished Kosovar Albanian Businesses and professionals across the UK, Europe and Kosovo.
It aims to increase the profile of the British Kosovar Chamber of Commerce (BKCC) and further engage guests on the work of the organisation, plans for the future and the huge opportunities for the UK in Kosovo and vice versa. K.
BKCC will also be recognising a number of business leaders who have achieved exceptional success within the UK and Kosovo.
Proceeds from the Gala will be donated to QKUK Reconstructive Surgery for breast cancer patients in Kosovo.
UK Kosovar Chamber of Commerce – Recent Opening
The British-Kosovar Chamber of Commerce held its launch event at the end of 2021 at Westminster Palace (UK House of Commons) in the presence of hundreds of successful British and Kosovar businesses, UK members of Parliament and other large stakeholders. The event was led by President Artan Llabjani, honorary President Mr John Grogan, the UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy for Western Balkans Martin Vickers MP and members of the BKCC board Arbnor Salihi, Adelina Badivuku, Labinot Zeqiri and Andre Demushi. The event was attended by Kosovo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz, Minister of Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu and the UK’s Deputy Ambassador to Kosovo, Jacob Webber.
Launch in Prishtina, Kosovo
February 2022 saw the official launch of the chambers in Prishtina,Kosovo where the board held four days of high profile meetings with Kosovo’s key politicians, businesses and community leaders, such as former president and business leader Mr Behxhet Pacolli, Mayor of Prishtina Mr Perparim Rama, the and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr Albin Kurti.
President of the BKCC, Artan Llabjani, said: ‘’We have been organising these events in the past as part of our community duty. I am delighted that for the first time, we will be holding the event to celebrate the launch of the British Kosovar Chambers of Commerce and raise awareness for the work carried out so far and the benefits of joining the network that the chamber provides.
We are also raising much-needed funds for Pema. Their work for children with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups in Kosovo is very close to my heart, and we will be donating the proceeds collected to the organisation.
