BKCC Joins British MPs Visit to Kosovo

The Founder and President of the British-Kosovar Chamber of Commerce, Artan Llabjani, recently visited Kosovo alongside the following distinguished individuals: John Grogan (Honorary President and former MP), Martin Vickers (MP and Chair of the APPG), and Paul Foster (MP).

The visit included several key engagements:
Thursday, 3 July:
Attending a dinner hosted by the British Ambassador Jonathan Hargreaves at his residence. This reception brought together various political leaders and MPs from Kosovo, including:
– Lumir Abdixhiku (Leader of LDK)
– Hykmete Bajrami (MP, LDK)
– Vlora Çitaku (PDK)
– Blerta Dajaku (PDK)
– Nezir Kraki (MP, VV)
– Mefail Bajqinovci (MP, VV)
– Time Kadrijaj (MP, AAK)
– A Serbian minister serving within Kosovan institutions.
The evening, graciously hosted by the British Embassy, offered a valuable platform to discuss the importance of strengthening UK-Kosovo economic relations.
Friday, 4 July:
Members of the APPG met with Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister, Prime Minister, and President. We also met Elizabeth Gowing, the Prime Minister of Kosovo’s Advisor on Community Affairs.
Additional meetings included: Përparim Rama (Mayor of Prishtina)
Dukagjin Lipa (UK-Kosovar entrepreneur), Representatives from Stonecastle, one of Kosovo’s leading vineyards.
Additionally, the Chamber organized a networking dinner at Noja Restaurant in Prishtina, which was well attended by business leaders based in Kosovo or with strong ties to the UK, including:
– Anita Kovacic (CEO, Raiffeisen Bank)
– Shpend Lila (Innovation Centre Kosovo)
– Kujtim Fazliu (BO Bowling)
– Mentor Demi (Western Tethyan Resources)
– Faton Kelani (Villa Germia)
– Behar Fazliu (Arcus)
– Dren Lushtaku (CY Technologies / XY Cyber)
– Petrit Kllokoqi (Gastronomy Association)
This was a highly productive and successful trip for the Chamber, fostering renewed connections and strengthening ties between UK and Kosovan businesses and political representatives.
